By Jez Littlewood, Professor at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University
Two and a half years ago graduate students in Canada established a student-led blog connected to the Canadian network for research on terrorism, security and society (TSAS). Since then a lot has happened and our bloggers and students have contributed over 50 short articles and think pieces.
Time moves on, as do our students. Misha Munim, the founder of the blog and its driving force over the last couple of years has graduated (congratulations Misha). Our blog now has a new driving force, Kendra Eyben, who previously served as editor, manager and contributor to the blog. We also welcome Jessica Marano and Stéphanie Bartlett as blog managers, as well as Saira Bano, Stefanie Fisher, Mark Haichin and William Leurer as blog editors.
Our blog, therefore, will continue and its purpose remains as important as in early 2014 when Misha alongside others founded the blog. As a network TSAS has also secured funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) under a Partnership Grant. Knowledge mobilization, training and encouragement to students, and facilitating an informed and diverse debate on national security issues remain at the heart of the blog.
So thank you Misha, and welcome to our new team.
